Publisher's Archive and Henry Centennial Art Exhibition

For the HM-21 Conference, Gary Koeppel is going to put on a private exhibition for attendees of 60 works of art from the Centennial Collection and from the Kubo Collection. Also from his archive will be unique books Henry Miller books.

Gary  was Henry Miller’s exclusive United States art agent, art publisher and art even producer of numerous Henry Miller exhibitions in his six Coast Galleries located in Big Sur, Carmel and Pebble Beach in California, Wailea, Hana and Kaanapali in Hawaii, The International Art Fair in Tel Aviv, Israel, Gallery Springer in Berlin, the Henry Miller Library in Omachi and Daimaru Museum in Japan as well as Expo venues in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York.  He published the renowned Centennial Collection of 25 Henry Miller prints in 1990 and a series of unseen and unsold monotype-etchings—all bearing Miller’s original signature.

Henry Miuller and the Nudies 1953–1997. 400 pages. 190 illustrations. Print run of 39 copies. Published March 1, 2001, at $208.65.

Note: With the exception of Roger Jackson, Publisher: An Annotated & Visual Bibliography, all books on display are out-of-print and difficult to find. The Bibliography will be reprinted in November of this year.

Dear Anaïs, from her Archive

The Anaïs Nin foundation will bring a collection of early letters written by Henry Miller to Anaïs Nin that are very personal and revealing.  On Saturday at 11:30 AM, letters will be taken out of cases for further inspection.  This is curated by Steven Reigns, president of the Board of the Nin Foundation.
