Groome transportation:

https://groometransportation.com/monterey/?&sd_client_id=b18d0765-7141-4eb9-b908-6e981b75b619currently

charges $62.00 each way to and from San Francisco if you book online and also stops in San Jose with pickup and drop off possible at Asilomar for an additional $30.00. It goes every 2 hours to their office at 438 Calle Principal, Monterey, CA 93940, which is .2 miles — a 3 minute walk to the Monterey Transit Plaza if you want to transfer to the local bus.

A bus leaves the Monterey Transit Plaza for Asilomar via Route 2 every hour between 6:45 am and 6:45 pm for an 34 minute ride.

Route 1 goes past Asilomar requiring a transfer to Route 2 and doing that does not seem to save time.
